Solomon's rocksby =ArtAnda

The legend says that long ago, Solomon was a hungarian king that was chased by pagans and he jumped with his horse over the gap formed between the two rocks that guard the narrow pass. The others fell into the abyss and this is how he managed to escape :)

Tried to illustrate this for a very nice exhibition that will travel in some of the "brother cities" of Brasov. Theme was to illustrate a legend about Brasov and I chose this one :)

~oils on canvas board, 40x40cm. Feedback is welcomed :D

It's strange to have the foreground looking like it's autumn, and the background those tints of light green, perhaps a darker green would've been a bit better suited.
I like the dreamlike tones and shapes, it really gives a good feeling to the whole picture.
I like it, unfortunately I'm not good enough to provide a critique :)

The bit of forest in the background is light green because far away in the distance there is a pine forest (which is green, but very light because of the distance)... but you're right, maybe it would be better to darken it a tone or two *thinking*

It makes more sense to have a brownish green, pale, but still have those darker tints :)
